Nick Acocella and Don Dewey are the authors of The Biographical History of Baseball, published by Triumph Books.

Marty Appel is the former public relations director for the New York Yankees. Later, he served as executive producer for Yankees telecasts at WPIX-TV. His latest book, Munson, chronicles the life and tragic death of New York Yankees team captain Thurman Munson, scheduled for publication by Doubleday in 2009.

Brent Bowers is a former reporter and editor at the Wall Street Journal who served as business editor at the New York Times for 10 years. He is the author of The Eight Patterns of Highly Effective Entrepreneurs, published by Doubleday Currency. 

Brent Bowers is also the author with Agnes Hooper Gottlieb, Henry Gottlieb, and Barbara Bowers of 1,000 Years, 1,000 People. A reprint edition is published by Barnes & Noble.  

The authors are currently working on 1,000 Reasons to Love America, slated to be published by HarperCollins in 2010.

Joanne Cini, who served as vice president at Rupert Murdoch's New York FOX-TV station, spent 24 years in the television industry at all four major networks. She held management and executive roles for 18 of those 24 years. She is the author of the career guide, Kingmaker, published by Prentice Hall. Translations of Kingmaker have been done in Chinese, Arabic, Spanish and Russian.

Nancy Dunnan is one of the most prolific and bestselling personal finance authors of the past 25 years. Her books include The Widow's Financial Survival Guide, published by Perigee.

Abby Ellin is a former New York Times regular columnist and popular freelance writer. Her first book, Teenage Waistland, was published by Public Affairs and serialized in People magazine. The Boston Globe:  "One part investigative journalism, one part self-help, and one part personal narrative, Waistland is intriguing...both eloquent and moving."

Bill Felber, executive editor of the Manhattan (KS) Mercury and a baseball historian, is the author of The Book on the Book, published in both hardcover and paperback editions by St. Martin's Press; and A Game of Brawl, a colorful account of the 1897 National League pennant race, published by Bison Books. 

Daniel Fleshler is an American Jewish activist who has participated in efforts to counteract AIPAC for the past 20 years. His first book, Inside America's Pro-Israeli Lobby, is scheduled for publication by Potomac Books in Spring 2009.

George Gmelch, a professor of anthropology at Union College and a former professional baseball player, is the editor of Baseball Without Borders: The International Pastime, published by Bison Books.  

Dan Gordon and Mickey Bradley are accomplished freelance writers who have teamed up to write Haunted Baseball, a book about baseball and the supernatural, published by Lyons Press.

Cecil Harris is a veteran sports reporter and the author of several books. He and Larryette Kyle-DeBose are the authors of Charging the Net, a history of blacks in tennis, published by Ivan Dee Publishers.

Stan Isaacs is a former Newsday sports and feature columnist. He wrote the popular column, "Out of Left Field" which won a National Headliners Award. His latest book, Ten Moments That Shook the Sports World, was published by Skyhorse Publishing. 

Roger Kahn may be the most distinguished sports writer of our generation. His most famous work, The Boys of Summer, was hailed by Sports Illustrated as the greatest baseball book ever written. His memoir, Into My Own, was recently published in trade paperback by St. Martin's Press. Also available, from McGraw-Hill, is Beyond the Boys of Summer, edited by Rob Miraldi, the first comprehensive anthology of Mr. Kahn's writing. Two more books are in the works: Mr. Rickey, a biography of Branch Rickey; and Out of Print, an anthology of the author's newspaper and magazine articles along with excerpts from his books.

Bill Madden is the national baseball columnist at the New York Daily News who has covered the sport for nearly 30 years. He is the author of  Pride of October, published in both hardcover and paperback by Warner Books, and collaborated with Don Zimmer on Zim: A Baseball Life, a New York Times bestseller, and The Zen of Zim, published by St. Martin's Press. He is currently working on a biography of Yankees owner George Steinbrenner.

John Marcus, one of the most successful resume writing consultants in the country, has written for publications that include the Wall Street Journal. His books include Resume Makeovers, published by McGraw-Hill.

Fredric Alan Maxwell is a Montana-based writer whose work has been widely-published, including pieces in Newsweek, Harper's, The New Yorker and The New York Times Magazine. He is the author of Bad Boy Ballmer: The Man Who Rules Microsoft an unauthorized biography Steve Ballmer (Morrow, 2002; HarperBusiness, 2003) which has been translated into six languages.
His latest book is a biography of football legend Tom Harmon.

Bob McGee is the author of The Greatest Ballpark Ever, a lyrical tribute to Brooklyn's Ebbets Field, published by Rivergate Books at Rutgers University Press. The book won the 2005 Dave Moore Award as the "most important baseball book" of the year.

Craig Messmer is an educator whose formula for ranking the greatest players in baseball history, position by position, is the basis for Stat One, published by McGraw-Hill.

Jim Moskovitz is the producer of the nationally syndicated TV show, The Tim McCarver Show. He is the author with Pat Summerall of Sports in America, published by HarperCollins, and The Twelve Greatest Rounds of Boxing, with Ferdie Pacheco, now available from Sports Classics Books. His most recent book, Tim McCarver's Diamond Gems, written with McCarver and Danny Peary, is due out from McGraw-Hill in early 2008.

Bobby Murcer embodied the tradition and history of the New York Yankees for over five decades. During a 17-year baseball career, he played in 1,908 games, hitting .277 with 252 HR and 1,043 RBI. Murcer joined Lou Gehrig, Johnny Blanchard and Mickey Mantle as the only Yankees to hit home runs in four consecutive at bats. A five-time All-Star from 1971–75, Murcer is the only player to have played alongside both Mickey Mantle and Don Mattingly. After his playing career, Bobby became a mainstay in the Yankees' broadcast booth. On July 12, 2008, Bobby lost his courageous 19-month battle with brain cancer. Two months before his death, he published his memoir, Yankee for Life, with HarperCollins. Today the book lives on as a legacy to the memory of one of the most popular players to ever wear the Yankee pinstripes and to a wonderful human being. 

Sharon O'Donnell, an award-winning journalist and founder of the popular MomsofBoys web site, is the author of House of Testosterone, published by Jefferson Press, and named a "notable book" for February 2007 by Book Sense. A trade paperback edition is now available from Houghton-Mifflin.  

Phil Pepe has covered sports in New York for more than five decades. He was the Yankees beat writer for the New York World Telegram & Sun from 1961-64, and for the New York Daily News from 1971-84.  The Ballad of Billy and George, the story of the unique and bizarre love-hate relationship between Billy Martin and George Steinbrenner, was published by Lyons Press in 2008.

Corey Perlman, a former business analyst at General Motors, owns and operates Find Your e!, Inc., which designs and conducts seminars for small business owners. His first book, eBoot Camp, will be published by Wiley early in 2009.  

Mary Beth Pfeiffer, a former Soros Media Fellow, put her investigative skills to work on Crazy in America, an examination of the mentally ill in U.S. prisons, published by Carroll & Graf, now available through Perseus Books. 

David Pietruza is the author of Rothstein, published by Carroll & Graf. The book was an Edgar award finalist. His most recent book, 1920: The Year of the Six Presidents, was published by Carroll & Graf in February 2007. The History Book Club made 1920 a May 2007 alternate selection. Both titles are now available through Perseus Books.

Philip Reed is the author of In Search of the Greatest Golf Swing, an engaging memoir about the author's relationship with golf legend Mike Austin, available in both hardcover and paperback from Perseus Books. 

Mark Rucker is the proprietor of  Transcendental Graphics that comprises an extraordinary photo archive of more than 200,000 images, specializing in vintage photos of baseball, the American West, the circus, and ephemera from the 19th century. These images are now available through Getty Images.
